The Herberger Institute School of Music's Latin marimba band, Marimba Maderas de Comitan, directed by Ted Solis, hosts its bi yearly Latin dance pachanga (dance party).
Come sing and dance under the stars to Latin rhythms including Dominican merengue, Peruvian and Ecuadorian cumbia, Cuban son and son montuno, Mexican zapateado, and bolero, Puerto Rican guaracha, Congolese rumba, and many others. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to pachanga, we will teach you all the basic steps!
