Cathal Breslin and Friends: First Faculty Recital

The School of Music welcomes our newest Assistant Professor of Piano, Cathal Breslin, performing in his first faculty artist recital. The program features solo works including Rachmaninov’s Corelli Variations” and Ravel’s “Gaspard de la Nuit,” and collaborative works for flute and piano with flutist Sabrina Hu and more.

Breslin has been praised worldwide as one of the most exciting pianists of his generation, with critical acclaim such as “superb intensity and passion” (Cleveland Plain Dealer), “energized and energizing” (Belfast Telegraph), “a deep connection to the music” (Tampa Oracle), and “noble poetry” (The Independent, London), Dr. Breslin’s international career has taken him to concert halls throughout Europe, the United States and Asia. He is a world-wide concerto performer, chamber musician and solo recitalist and has taught master classes and lectured at universities and conservatories around the globe.
