As the 1920s draw to a close, young impoverished American writer Cliff Bradshaw travels through Europe looking for inspiration.  He finds it in Berlin at the seedy Kit Kat Club.  Bradshaw is captivated by the cabaret’s showgirl, Sally Bowles, and soon finds himself caught up in the lives of the prostitutes, smugglers, middle-class Germans and Nazis who share in the sordid nightlife of 1929 Berlin.  A colorful master of ceremonies provides wry commentary throughout this 1987 revision of the classic musical, Cabaret. Music includes It Couldn't Please Me More, Cabaret, Don't Tell Mama and Two Ladies.
Cabaret is based on a book by Joe Masteroff, a play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.  The music was written by John Kander with lyrics by Fred Ebb.  Cabaret is produced by special arrangement with Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc.
