R.A.D. Basic for Women: Session One of Three — Downtown Phoenix

R.A.D. Systems is a program of self-defense tactics and techniques open to women in the Arizona State University community. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance that progresses to the basics of hands-on defensive training. Those who complete the course receive R.A.D. certification.

To receive R.A.D. certification, you must complete all training sessions. If you are unable to attend consecutive sessions, email ASU Police information officer, Katy Harris, to discuss enrollment in other sessions.

• Session One: Lecture
• Session Two: Hands-on training
• Session Three: Hands-on training and scenario evaluation

R.A.D. is not a martial arts program. Participants should wear comfortable workout-type attire and athletic shoes. No sandals or flip-flops.
