Nicholas Mirzoeff is professor of media, culture and communication at New York University and author of numerous books including his most recent,  The Right to Look: a Counter History of Visuality, 2011 and An Introduction of Visual Culture, 2009; Seinfeld, 2008 and Watching Babylon: The War in Iraq and Global Visual Culture, 2005. His lecture is sponsored by the ASU School of Art and the art history faculty.
