Have you ever wanted to learn how to bind and design your own journal or diary?

Come join the Labriola Center at West Valley campus for Coptic Bookbinding! Coptic bookbinding, or Coptic stitch bookbinding, is an ancient art form used to bind pages of a book together without glue or staples.

Our Labriola archivist and librarian, Vina Begay will be instructing attendees on how to create their very own journal using acid free paper, a bookbinding kit, and coptic stitching.

On Halloween, stop by the Makerspace in Hayden Library to make some spooky crafts and decorations. Makerspace will have supplies for making garlands and paper decorations, painting 3D-printed pumpkins, creating buttons and more! No registration required.

Have you ever wondered what creatures creep in the night? For Halloween, we are showing the National Geographic series "Dead by Dawn" in Naturespace at Hayden Library, room 311E. Come by anytime between noon to 6 p.m. to spend time learning about nature while enjoying the space through discussion, drawing and snacking.
