AED and CPR Awareness Training

AED and CPR Awareness Training

A one-hour presentation, including a lecture covering the signs and symptoms of sudden cardiac arrest, or SCA, an interactive, hands-on training on automated external defibrillator, or AED, operation and basic layperson cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR. This class does not meet the qualifications for CPR certification. This seminar will provide attendees the knowledge and skill on how to handle emergency situations that require basic life interventions, and how to utilize the AEDs found throughout campus. Attendees will practice simple interventions, such as cardiac shocking and chest compressions, two powerful life-saving skills that any layperson can provide until further medical personnel are available.
