After Words: Kim Lyle

"After Words" is an interactive installation that explores themes of language, learning and technology. Inspired by early failed speech synthesizers, forms emit nonsensical sounds that embrace distorted grammar and disrupted syntax as a strategy for subverting structures imposed by language. With your participation, this work reconfigures words as sounds that float through many languages and questions how there might be meaning in rendering words meaningless.
