Artist Talk: Gabriel Rico and Estrella Payton

Join us for a talk and reception with artists Gabriel Rico (Guadalajara) and Estrella Payton (Phoenix), the first participants in GDL > PHX Residencias Artísticas. 

Learn about their experiences, investigations and creative work as part of their Phoenix and Guadalajara artist residencies.

GDL > PHX Residencias Artísticas is an artist residency and cultural exchange program organized by CALA Alliance, ASU Art Museum and PAOS GDL. It offers fully-sponsored residencies to artists from Guadalajara to travel and work in Phoenix, Arizona, and to Latinx artists from Phoenix to travel and work in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Artists develop creative projects and present public programs that establish a dialogue between both cities. This is the only program in Arizona dedicated to supporting international residencies for Latinx artists.
