Assembly Required: Exploring Creative Identity and Acts of Persistence

How does your creative identity support your journey as an artist, designer, activist and community member? And, how does your unique identity support your own persistence in how you approach challenges, solutions and questions? Join an interdisciplinary panel that spans choral music to photography to theatre to composition to discuss how your unique identity influences your work and your creative persistence.

• Daniel Bernard Roumain, composer, performer, educator and Institute Professor, ASU's Herberger Institute.
• Miguel Felipe, head of Choral Music, University of Arizona.
• Elaine Kessler, photographer and professional speaker.
• Bobb Cooper, producing artistic director, Valley Youth Theatre.

This panel is presented by Assembly Required, a collection of interviews with creatives, discussion panels, activities and modules that unite students, alumni and the greater arts and design community in discussions about past experiences, current skills, and the future of work. All programming is open to the ASU community and the general public to center community knowledge, promote voices of emerging leaders, and link disparate networks in the cross-sector work of art and design, to disrupt traditional pathways of accessibility to learning.
