ASU Library and SolarSPELL in Rwanda

Take a trip to Rwanda with ASU librarians Dan Stanton and Lisa Kammerlocher and ASU assistant professor Laura Hosman. This “brown bag” panel discussion will address SolarSPELL and library initiatives around information accessibility in places where the internet does not reach.

Presenters will share stories from their recent trip to Rwanda, Africa, where they trained teachers, students and Peace Corps Volunteers on how to use SolarSPELL libraries. The panel will discuss and reflect on the experiences of introducing new technology, digital content and information literacy to communities that lack quality online educational resources.
