Basic Life Support

Environmental Health and Safety provides a four-hour class designed for health care professionals and covers the recognition, treatment and care of sudden cardiac arrest patients. Participants receive coaching on how to perform CPR properly on adults, children and infants. Students also learn to properly perform abdominal thrusts and how to put a patient in the recovery position. The class also covers the use of a bag valve mask and oxygen delivery.
