Being [Human] Being

Being [Human] Being

The body is an enclosed ecosystem, a bio-mechanical tool and a canvas for personal display. It is the only form that we carry from birth to death. It can be both a profound vehicle and a tragic cage. Three photographers, Lisa Zirbel, Kara McGuigan and Anthony Acedo, explore our psychological connection to our physical bodies. These artists explore themes such as aging, sexuality, beauty and loss. This exhibition engages viewers with both traditional photography as well as unique, non-traditional and tactile experiences. To be a human being is to navigate the timeless and turbulent act of being human.
