ASU Cares: Chicago Chapter
During the month of March, Sun Devils across the country gather in their communities to lend a helping hand as part of ASU Cares.
This year, the ASU Alumni Chicago Chapter will be volunteering at the Lakeview Pantry, a non-profit food pantry and social services organization whose mission is to eliminate hunger and poverty in our communities.
ASU alums, friends and family are invited to help with the following tasks:
- Unload and sort through donations of food arriving at the warehouse.
- Inventory items and put them away.
- Pull orders to be sent to our other Pantry locations and load them into vans.
Closed-toed shoes are required. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing — something that can get a little messy. Gloves will be provided on site. Face coverings are required at all volunteer shifts. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required within two days of the date of the event.
We look forward to seeing you there as a way to give back to the community while getting to know fellow Sun Devils in your area.
