The National Committee on U.S.-China Relations on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 4 p.m. AZ/MST (7 p.m. EDT) will host the virtual event and Q&A with one of America's leading foreign policy commentators, CNN host and best-selling author, Fareed Zakaria, as he examines the challenges and opportunities for both countries as they confront the most critical issues of the 21st century. This is a national conversation on how the U.S.-China relationship affects our cities, towns and communities. Following the national live stream, stay tuned for a panel discussion with China experts as they share their responses and perspectives on the future of US-China relations. Moderated by Global Ties Arizona Board Member and Professor of Asian Studies (Cornell University), Richard Fincher, the discussion panel will feature remarks and perspectives from:

  • Doug Guthrie, Professor and Director of China Initiatives, ASU's Thunderbird School of Global Management
  • Stephen MacKinnon, Professor Emeritus, Arizona State University
