Collective Dreaming
"Collective Dreaming" is an online BFA exhibition featuring artists who craft their art around the surreal and otherworldly. Most works revolve around characters — in imagined spaces or in no space at all — or dreamlike worlds. Each work speaks to the way people view dreams as an escape from the real world. Because everyone approaches escapism differently, a wide variation of work is displayed.
We find that artistic content is limited only by the bounds of our mental imagery. In dreams, our minds can journey past such limitations — ideas that bend and reshape our known reality flourish. This exhibition explores just what it means to be creative. We don’t need to think outside of the box — there simply isn’t one.
Artists: Hearim Chon, Leilani Haught, Alana Jordan, Nicole Navarro, Denae Ravago, Diana Rodriguez, Lisa Serrano, Clare Vasquez, Yingni Zou
