Curator Chat: 'Material Beauty' with Nathan Newman

David Folkman lithograph is part of Material Beauty: Encounter with Nathan Newman

Guest curator, scientist and professor Nathan Newman will explain what makes colored glass, how Renaissance artists understood perspective, and why artist Chuck Close won't remember your face as part of his chat about "Material Beauty: Encounter with Nathan Newman."

ASU Art Museum's curator chats at take place on the second and third Wednesday of each month during the academic year and offer an opportunity for visitors to get the inside scoop on exhibitions without the formality of a traditional lecture setting. Guests will spend 30 minutes walking around the exhibition and talking about the art with one of the museum's curators.

Questions and comments are highly encouraged. Curator chats are free and open to the public.
