Our featured lecturer for March is architect, educator and researcher David A. Garcia, principle of MAP Architects, which focuses on merging arts and sciences in innovating for design in extreme environments.

About the 2018–19 Lecture Series

This year's theme will focus on "Experimentation." Lecturers will discuss how they are pushing boundaries in their field as well as share compelling examples of experimentation within their profession and the design world.

About David A. Garcia

David A. Garcia is an architect, educator and researcher. He is a graduate from The Bartlett School of Architecture, has worked at Foster and Partners in London and at Henning Larsen Architects in Copenhagen. David has taught architectural design since 2003 in several universities internationally, and is now a teaching associate professor at the Royal Danish Art Academy School of Architecture and director of the master's program for architecture and extreme environments since 2013. He is principal and owner of the architectural practice MAP Architects, which focuses on merging arts and sciences in innovating for design in extreme environments.
