DOMO et Patria: Photo Club Juror Patrick Madigan, Artist Lecture

White Sands by Patrick Madigan

The ASU Student Photographers Annual Juried Exhibition is proud to sponsor ASU alumnus Patrick Madigan's artist talk at Northlight Gallery in downtown Phoenix at Grant Street Studios. Madigan served as the juror and will speak at the reception on First Friday, Feb. 3. Madigan earned his BFA at ASU in 2005 and went on the earn an MFA in photography at the Rhode Island Scholl of Design graduating in 2007.

Born in 1981, Patrick Madigan became passionate about photography at a young age.  It started with a desire to capture memories, little mementos of a lost moment.  This fascination evolved into a way to take thoughts, dreams and ideas and make them tangible. From portraits to landscapes, his work often represents a cross breed of subtle humor with an edge of darkness. When Madigan is not creating, he is spending time with his family, searching for bigfoot, or out with friends challenging last call.

This year's show features the work of ASU students Lindsay Arnold, Kevin Ashu, Joshua Haunschild, Ahyoung Lee, Ethan Roads, Azalea Roriguez and Darci Simpson.

Join us for the lecture and reception at Northlight Gallery on First Friday, Feb. 3. The gallery opens at 6 p.m., and the talk begins at 6:30 p.m.. The exhibition runs from Jan. 26–Feb. 4. Gallery hours are Thursday–Saturday, noon to 5 p.m.
