An Evening with Connected Academics

Connected Academics Welcome Event image

New doctoral students in the humanities at ASU are invited to join us on the evening of August 10 to welcome the 2018 cohort of Connected Academics scholars and their mentors. Come learn more about the opportunities provided by Connected Academics, receive an information packet with contacts and important documents, meet the staff, and recognize important contributors to Connected Academics. Appetizers will be provided.

All incoming doctoral students in the Department of English and in the School of International Letters and Cultures are welcome.

About Connected Academics:

Connected Academics helps humanities doctoral students bring their expertise to a wide range of fulfilling professional contexts. Connected Academics scholars are prepared to:

  • Understand the range of skills that are acquired from humanities graduate training.
  • Recognize the diverse career outcomes made possible by that training.
  • Accomplish their long-term goals after graduate school, including working towards the public good beyond academia.

Connected Academics is supported by the Modern Language Association and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Connected Academics at ASU is housed in the Department of English and affiliated with the School of International Letters and Cultures.
