Exploring Graduate School Seminars: Writing a Personal Statement

Are you considering graduate school? The Exploring Graduate School Seminars (EGSS) series, offered by ASU Graduate Education in conjunction with the Princeton Review and our campus partners, provide prospective graduate students with tools and resources to be a successful graduate school applicant, either at ASU or elsewhere.

ASU Graduate Education and the ASU Writing Center are pleased to offer this special workshop on writing personal statements. One of the most critical, but difficult, parts of the graduate school application process involves writing a personal statement that describes your interest in the school to which you apply as well as why you want to pursue a graduate degree. Learn how to write an effective and engaging personal statement and take some of the stress out of your graduate school application process. Cost: Free and open to the public.
