Faculty Lecture Series: Meredith Hoy

Meredith Hoy is assistant professor of art history and theory in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University. She received her doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley in 2010 in the department of Rhetoric.

Her latest book, "From Point to Pixel: A Genealogy of Digital Aesthetics," traces links between contemporary digital art and modern painting. Drawing on interdisciplinary studies, her research focuses on the impact of technology on art and visual culture.
