Although we all understand the nature of our world, there are infinite levels of interpretation. Join BFA candidates Cassandra Abril, Ariana Enriquez, Sojung Jang, Kayci Monar, Jackie Nguyen, Erika Sena and Alexis Simpson for their thesis exhibition, Familiar. Drawing and painting have allowed these individuals to expand their personal relationships with identity, including the relationships with those nearest to them, society and nature. These works are bound together by these concepts, but still cast their own creative shadow, making this exhibition strong with personal sentiment. Styles and methods spanning across multiple mediums invite viewers to take a glimpse into the psyches of each artist.
