The Future of Artificial Intelligence - Who's in Control?

Will progress in artificial intelligence provide humanity with a boost of unprecedented strength to realize a better future, or could it present a threat to the very basis of human civilization? The future of artificial intelligence is up for debate, and the Origins Project is bringing together a distinguished panel of experts, intellectuals and public figures to discuss who’s in control.

This Origins Project Great Debate is currently being assembled from a truly stellar group, which will include Eric Horvitz, Jaan Tallinn, and at least one additional surprise guest on stage with Origins Project director Lawrence Krauss.

The public event is associated with a closed scientific workshop which will be held to spark discussions, asking participants to envision and address potential adverse outcomes of artificial intelligence.  

A book signing will follow the event.
