The  Office of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Programs in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts is hosting its second annual Herberger Institute Mike Curb Student IDEA Showcase (Innovation in Design, Entertainment and Arts), initiated as a forum for students to showcase their most creative and innovative ideas. Each student will have two minutes – just 120 seconds – to share their story of creativity and innovation.

This event features 20 current Herberger Institute students pitching to a panel of community leaders, including Carlton Turner, executive director of Alternate ROOTS and Pave Incubator alumna Julie Akerly, founding member of [nueBOX]. Each of the Herberger Institute’s five schools are represented at the event. There will also be pitches from the three members of the 2016-2017 Pave Arts Venture Incubator cohort.

The winner of the judges’ prize will be awarded $500. The audience also gets a vote, with the audience choice receiving a $250 prize. (Please note that students may not receive both prizes).

Join us for this exciting evening of music, networking and the lightning-fast sharing of Herberger Institute students’ ideas!
