Wrigley Lecture Series with speaker Wayne Pacelle, President and CEO, Humane Society of the U.S.

Wayne Pacelle leads the nation’s largest and most effective animal-protection organization. He has helped pass more than 1,000 state laws to advance the organization’s mission and negotiated agreements with dozens of the nation’s biggest corporations from McDonald’s to Armani. Pacelle is aNew York Times bestselling author who writes for a number of national publications such as Foreign Affairs, His most recent book, "The Humane Economy: How Innovators and Enlightened Consumers are Transforming the Lives of Animals," will be published in April.

In this free, public talk, Pacelle will explore the concept of a humane economy and his perspective on the economics of animal exploitation. He will suggest a practical roadmap for how we can use the marketplace to promote the welfare of all living creatures.
