'At the Intersection of Memory and Conjecture': Photographs by William Jenkins

Bucky by William Jenkins

'At the Intersection of Memory and Conjecture' features photographs by Arizona State University professor William Jenkins and more than 50 of the alumni he mentored as students during his 40-year tenure at the university. The title of the exhibition comes from a drawing that Jenkins shares with students in his classes in photography history, theory and criticism and is taken from the writing of Hollis Frampton.

A selection of Jenkins' most recent portraits will be displayed in the gallery, some of them of the very students whose photographs will be hanging near by. Jenkins said that an exhibiton including his former students was "a good idea since, for me, education is a two-way street. I always learn as much from students as they do from me."

Join the ASU community at the reception honoring Jenkins, his photographs, and his contribution to teaching and learning the art of photography.

The exhibition runs March 17–31 with a reception on Friday, March 17 at 6 p.m.
