The Making of Arizona: Mexican and Mexican American History

Instrumental in Arizona history, the Mexican and Mexican American community has played an important role in building the state’s economy and politics.

Join ASU Library in a celebration of the recent donations of the Ben Miranda Papers and Mary Rose Wilcox Papers as well as the publication of "Mexican Workers and the Making of Arizona."

This anthology, edited by Dr. Luis Plascencia and Dr. Gloria Cuadraz, contains a chapter co-written by Dr. Plascencia and Dr. Christine Marin, founder of the Chicano/a Research Collection at ASU Library.

Appetizers will be served. Opening remarks will be made at 6:30 p.m. by Dr. Christine Marin, Dr. Gloria Cuadraz and Maritza Miranda Saenz.
