Meet the 2023 ASU Mandela Fellows

We invite you to meet the 2023 ASU cohort of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders (YALI) Leadership in Public Management Institute. The Mandela Washington Fellows will meet with our community from 3:30-5:00 pm on Friday, June 23, in the University Center (UCENT) 1st floor lobby.

The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is a U.S. Department of State program that Watts College has hosted annually since 2014, (excepting 2020) because of the pandemic. This year, the Mandela Washington Fellowship will be held from June 8 to July 16. We are expecting 25 Fellows from 18 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa; they are between 22–36 years of age. The Fellows will be prepared to share a little bit about their backgrounds and their areas of interest.
