Navigating the Esri Software Transition at ASU

Esri software event

Join the conversation about the Esri GIS software transition happening at ASU.

Esri, a leader in geographic information systems (GIS) software, is steadily moving toward a deprecation of its ArcGIS Desktop suite (ArcMap, Catalog, Scene, Globe, etc.) and has strategically redirected its developer staff resources to work on further advancing its new generation of desktop and web-based GIS software products, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

This Esri software transition brings a different workflow for accessing and licensing Esri software applications at Arizona State University. How can faculty plan and prepare for these changes while providing their students with state-of-the-art GIS software tools?

Join us for an open university-wide technical meeting of ASU's Esri software users to discuss and exchange feedback on how the Esri software transition might affect GIS course curricula.

This event is designed for ASU faculty and staff currently, or wishing to be, engaged in teaching geospatial technology using Esri GIS software products. However, all members of the ASU community, including students, are welcome to attend.
