Opening Reception: Character Assassination
Gallery 100 is pleased to present "Character Assassination," a BFA group exhibition in drawing featuring Errick Crum, Arcy Lau, Jayce Law, Bridgette McCarthy, Gray Olson and Noah Watts.
These artists make work that spans the gamut, from highly stylized character designs meant for use in 2D-animated shows and designs for video games and movies to fine art and illustration. Their work is shaped by a diverse set of personal experiences and the common goal to change and improve the industries that they are a part of. Bringing them together is a desire to build representation for all identities and experiences — to help dismantle stereotypes for people who may not share their experiences and build up and support those who do. These artists aim to do this both through positive representation in their work and through shifting the paradigm of which kinds of people are visible in popular culture.
The opening reception will take place on Tuesday, February 16 from 5–7 p.m. RSVP for 30-minute timed-entry required. Gallery occupancy is limited to allow for social distancing. Face coverings are required in all campus buildings and outdoor spaces.
