Paul Bonin-Rodriguez: Links, Levels and Leverage

Head shot of Paul Bonin-Rodriguez

The Pave Program’s spring speakers series: Arts Entrepreneurship in Marginalized Communities commences with a talk by Paul Bonin-Rodriguez, a professor of Performance as Public Practice at the University of Texas at Austin. This series addresses the unique needs, challenges and opportunities for artist entrepreneurs in rural and minority communities.

Using network maps or topographies, and defining particular network structures, “Links, Levels and Leverages” proposes new methods and strategies for promoting cultural vitality for a diverse cultural landscape. Following up on the work begun in his book “Performing Policy  (2014), Bonin-Rodriguez places these findings against the backdrop of studies and reports that repeated document inequities in arts and culture support and provocatively offer new methods of challenge and reporting.

This talk is co-sponsored by the Pave Program in Arts Entrepreneurship and Theatre and Performance of the Americas program of the School of Film, Dance and Theatre.
