Prime Ceramics

Prime Ceramics Harry Wood Gallery

Curated by Heath Couch

Thirteen contemporary ceramic artists working in progressive ways in the field today have been selected for this groundbreaking exhibition. Coming to Phoenix from across the nation and overseas, these daring young artists have sent work that will highlight the depth of their explorations with material, design, and space. Each one has a profound aesthetic sensibility and a creative energy that cannot be divided.

"Prime Ceramics" will also feature lectures by David Katz and Inkyo Back at the Ceramics Research Center (ASU Art Museum Brickyard) on Sunday, Sept. 18.  Lectures will be noon-1 p.m., with a gallery preview reception to follow.
