Project Oberon

Project Oberon, BFA Animation

Five animators host an exhibition showcasing the 3D animation pipeline from pre-production concepts to production. Follow the development of “Project Oberon,” the story of astronauts sent to recover information on a distant planet, only to be reminded that they are not alone in the universe.

Victoria Penner, Lynette Graham, Carrie Chacon, Jacqueline Folgar and Stacy Nuñez invite you to touch down on planet Oberon! Follow the development of unique characters from paper to screen, see them come to life through 3D animation. Explore the humid, overgrown swamps of Oberon, venture into its abandoned alien research lab and come face to face with its residents!

The making of a 3D animated film is a detailed process, and through “Project Oberon,” visitors can observe aspects of the animation pipeline as a film progresses from pre-production to production.

Opening Reception: Tuesday, Nov. 16, 5—7 p.m.

Entrance on 9th Street (south side of Mirabella building). Paid parking is available in Lot 20 and the 10th Street Parking Structure.
