A Reading and Conversation with Myriam Gurba

Arizona State University hosts writer and artist Myriam Gurba in a virtual reading and conversation on Nov. 3, 2020 at 10:30 a.m., Arizona/MST (9:30 a.m. PST / 11:30 a.m. CST / 12:30 p.m. EST).

Myriam Gurba is the author of the true-crime memoir "Mean," a New York Times editors’ choice. O, the Oprah Magazine, ranked "Mean" as one of the best LGBTQ books of all time and Publishers’ Weekly describes Gurba as having a voice like no other. Her essays and criticism have appeared in the Paris Review, TIME.com and 4Columns. She has shown art in galleries, museums and community centers. She lives in Long Beach, California, with herself.

This event is sponsored by the Department of English, the School of Transborder Studies, the School of Social Transformation and the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing – all units in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at ASU.
