Roden Crater Student Showcase

As part of Arizona State University’s partnership with artist James Turrell on Roden Crater, a large-scale art installation of light and perception in northern Arizona, 60 students in Herberger Institute field labs got the chance to visit the site. The students, many of whom called the experience transformative, created an array of work, including sound installations, textile art, photography, literature, paintings and more, to reflect on and explore what they experienced. Now you can see some of this work in a special exhibition on ASU’s Tempe campus.

The Roden Crater field labs student showcase exhibition will run May 15 through June 7. Work will be exhibited in the Gallery of Design in the Design South building and in the Design and Arts Library in the Design North building.
