Salute to Service: Celebrating Different Ways to Serve

Monday, November 7, 2022
12:00 p.m.–1:30 p.m.
Westward Ho - Concho Room

There is no singular way to serve your community. To recognize and celebrate some of the diverse paths to public service, the ASU Watts College is hosting a special panel on Monday, November 7, 2022.

At this event, part of ASU's Salute to Service activities, guests will have an opportunity to hear from leaders who serve in our community in different capacities and the impact this service has had on them professionally.

Christine Buzinde, professor and director of the School of Community Resources and Development, will moderate our four panelists, who include:

  • Ambassador Michael C. Polt, who will discuss service through diplomacy.
  • Lieutenant General (Ret.) Benjamin C. Freakley, who will discuss service through the military.
  • Dean Cynthia Lietz, who will discuss service through academia.
  • Maricopa County Manager Joy Rich, who will discuss service through local government.

Lunch will be served. Please RSVP by Wednesday, Nov. 2.

We hope to see you there!
