This special event, hosted by the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions as part of ASU's Salute to Service activities, will recognize and celebrate some of the diverse paths to public service careers.

Guests will hear from leaders who serve in our community in different capacities and the impact this service has had on them professionally.

Christine Buzinde, professor and director of the School of Community Resources and Development, will moderate our four panelists:

  • Ambassador Michael C. Polt, who will discuss service through diplomacy.
  • Lieutenant General (Ret.) Benjamin C. Freakley, who will discuss service through the military.
  • Dean Cynthia Lietz, who will discuss service through academia.
  • Maricopa County Manager Joy Rich, who will discuss service through local government.
