During viral infection or auto immune disease, viral or endogenous dsRNA accumulates resulting in activation of innate immune pathways.

Dhara Shah: "Enzymes as signal modulators in the microbiome"

Enzymes modulate the concentration of metabolites in a host-microbial symbiosis. I will discuss the reactions catalyzed by enzymes of bacterial origin and their relevance towards host physiology.
