Science of Naturopathic Medicine

Science of Naturopathic Medicine

Following the success of "Science of Wine," "Science of Beer" and "Science of Business," we present "Science of Naturopathic Medicine." This new event focuses on using science skills in the health care system that "concentrate on whole-patient wellness while emphasizing prevention and the process of self-healing through the use of natural therapies. Naturopathic medicine attempts to find the underlying cause of the patient's condition rather than focusing solely on symptomatic treatment." (AANMC.org).

Network with and participate in breakout sessions led by professionals and students from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences located in Tempe, AZ.

Breakout sessions:

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine

Observe acupuncture demonstrations from trained naturopathic doctors and clinical students. Learn more about this important and popular healing modality through interactive demos and discussions.

Botanical Medicine Research

Hear from a combination of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine faculty, alumni and students as they present their research posters and discuss their published work. Learn about our Ric Scalzo Institute for Botanical Research (set to open in 2020), where bioassay guided extractions will be performed to understand and uncover the mechanism of actions within botanicals.

Regenerative Medicine

Learn about the burgeoning field of regenerative medicine and discover how the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine is a national leader in natural regenerative therapies, such as prolotherapy, platelet-rich plasma therapy and stem cell therapy.
