Spielraum Opening Reception

Join us for a reception to celebrate the opening of "Spielraum 122: Art Meets Industry" at ASU Art Museum Ceramics Research Center.

In 2014, the Neue Porzellanfabrik Triptis GmbH invited five artists, including Helmut Frank, Patrick Loughran, Lyn Riccardo, Arnie Zimmerman and Lida Tarakhosky, to work in their porcelain factory in Triptis, Germany. These artists, with their diverse skillsets and backgrounds, began an ongoing collaboration that has probed porcelain’s cultural meanings and material possibilities.

The artists will all be in attendance at the reception, which will be the culmination of a week of workshops and classroom visits with Arizona State University students.

This project is part of the Windgate Contemporary Craft Initiative at ASU Art Museum and is supported by the Windgate Charitable Foundation. Additional support from the Eschenbach Porzellan Group and the artists.
