Laura Irimies is assistant professor at the School of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences, Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

With over two decades of professional experience in public communication, both as a journalist and as a high ranking public servant in the Romanian
government, Irimies is currently teaching and conducting academic research on public discourse and the role of language in shaping human communication.
