Applying for jobs can be a stressful time in anyone’s life. In a lot of the fields students and recent graduates find themselves in, it can also be a pretty competitive one. Incorporating writing samples into your internship and job applications can take your candidacy from qualified to quintessential, but what are they? And why do some employers ask for them? How do you even go about compiling them?

Join the Department of English Internship and Career Exploration program for the second installment of our Summer Career Chats. Gain a basic understanding of the world of writing samples and their place in your career journey. Learn how you can craft pieces of writing you already have into honed tools you can use in your future career explorations.

See you on Friday, July 1 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (AZ time) on Zoom. All are welcome.
