Telling Your Story to Open Doors with Megan Finnerty

Megan Finnerty

What are you going to do with a degree in THAT?

Every liberal arts student hears this question. Repeatedly. And on Feb. 5, we’re going to help you answer it, because the good news is: You’re going to do A LOT with that degree.

In this interactive two hour workshop, co-hosted by the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership, award-winning journalist and founder of the Storytellers Project Megan Finnerty will coach students to turn education and experience into engaging stories that articulate why they are the right fit for the opportunities they seek on campus and beyond, and in the postgraduate world.

This workshop will teach you to:

Turn an introduction into an opportunity – without being an opportunist.

Tell the story of who you are and what you want to achieve while learning about your audience prospective employer / internship host / scholarship review panelist.

Go beyond the elevator pitch to talk about passion, meaning and impact, all in less than a minute.

This event is open to current ASU students only.
