The Thinning of the Veil: Jace Becker and Lily Reeves

In The Thinning of the Veil, Lily Reeves and Jace Becker's work occupies the liminal space that occurs between many existential polarities. Within the sacred and the profane, creation and destruction, fear and stillness, immanence and transcendence, the two artists investigate the meaning of binary concepts simultaneously, creating work that is both timeless and indefinite.

Together, their work emphasizes the visceral experience of being, and the corporeal struggle of transcendence. This show seeks to make connections between the body and its environs, generating new meaning through re-interpretation of thousands of years of myth, culture, and truth. The Thinning of the Veil represents a rite of passage through time and the untold in- between. When the veil is lifted, we experience a metamorphosis and see reality in its true form.
