Trio Montecino with David Shea, Clarinet; Paulina Zamora, Piano, and Pablo Mahave-Veglia, Cello

The School of Music welcomes Trio Montecino with clarinetist David Shea, pianist Paulina Zamora, and cellist Pablo Mahave-Veglia, cello.

Unique among chamber music ensembles, Trío Montecino is committed to the ongoing research, commission and recording of new works, as well as the continuing performance of the staples of clarinet trio repertoire.  Their programs mix the classic trios by Beethoven, Brahms and Bruch with newer works by such masters as Alfonso Montecino, Alfred Prinz and Roberto Sierra. Trio Montecino is also the dedicatee of major new pieces by Gerardo Dirié, Víctor Agudelo and Lucía Patiño, among others.
