Video screening: 'The Mexican Revolution  of 1910'

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Hispanic Research Center and School of International Letters and Cultures are co-sponsoring a screening of two documentary videos, both of which were produced by the Hispanic Research Center:

"The Mexican Revolution of 1910: Events Unfold"

Showcases historical film footage of Pancho Villa, Emiliano Zapata, Francisco and Gustavo Madero and all of the major participants in this internationally significant event, the first major revolution of the 20th century.  70 minutes.

"María Félix, Warrior Woman" and "Compassionate Soul"

Focuses on the roles of Mexico’s leading star of the 1930s-1940s and includes her leads as a revolucionaria and as a compassionate soul who empathizes with and helps the defenseless individuals she encounters. 8 minutes.

Light refreshments will be served.
