Virtual R Studio Summer Workshop

data visualization

The ASU Library's Unit for Data Science and Analytics is hosting a virtual R Studio summer workshop throughout July. The workshop will teach the basic concepts of the R programming language via an active real-life project. Each week will build off the one another.

The project itself is to automate some data streams for the Global Biosocial Complexity Initiative to aid in their research. The tasks include pulling the latest data from government websites, cleaning and formatting the data tables and estimating NULL values.

Join us on the following Wednesdays from 10–11 a.m. Make sure to register for each date.

  • July 7 - Module 1: The basics
  • July 14 - Module 2: Data wrangling
  • July 21 - Module 3: Advanced data wrangling
  • July 28 - Module 4: Null value estimation

Be ready to learn and apply with a bit of homework.
