About the GACP:

The Global Advocacy Certificate Program, GACP, is a leadership development opportunity for all ASU faculty and staff. GACP participants will broaden their awareness of intercultural topics and learn specific strategies for supporting culturally and linguistically diverse, CLD, students and scholars in the classroom and workplace to promote a more inclusive community for all.

To earn a certificate as a Global Advocate, participants should register for and attend the Foundations of Global Advocacy workshop, offered in fall and spring, but only required once, plus at least three electives during an academic year. All offerings are free of charge and fill on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants can earn certificates every year.

Participants in the GACP will increase:

  • Awareness of campus resources for CLD students.
  • Strategies to serve as advocates for CLD students.
  • Proficiencies to create more inclusive cultures.

The GACP is sponsored through a partnership between ASU's Office of Inclusive Excellence and ASU Advance.

Target audience:

All ASU faculty and staff are invited to attend workshops for ongoing learning, regardless of their intentions to receive a certificate. Registration through Career Edge only.

Location | Zoom-only

2023-2024 workshops are facilitated over Zoom to include representatives from all locations, as well as those who work remotely. Zoom links will be emailed the week of the event.
