2025 Barlett and Steele Awards Ceremony

Gold winners from the 2025 Barlett and Steele Awards will discuss their extraordinary investigations, from the inspiration to the challenges and the impact their reporting has had on the public.

This year’s guests include the Outstanding Young Journalist for her investigation that alerted her local community to radioactive groundwater contamination, a ProPublica reporter whose investigation looked into the exploitative pricing tactics used on life-saving medications, and several reporters from the San Francisco Chronicle investigation that uncovered the systemic use of an estimator tool that left many homeowners drastically underinsured when their homes were destroyed by wildfires.
